Help & FAQ
Posting
- How much does it cost to post?
- Nothing. Every category is free, including Cars & Trucks and Housing.
- How long do ads stay up?
- 45 days, or until you tell us the item's gone. Repost after that if it's still available — a fresh ad does better anyway.
- Why was my ad removed?
- Usually one of: prohibited item (weapons, animals, recalled goods), duplicate posting, or wrong category on the third strike. The removal email includes the specific reason.
- Can I edit an ad after posting?
- Not yet — it's the most-requested feature and it's coming. For now, email help@stallly.com with your listing number and the change.
Buying
- How do I contact a seller?
- Use the "Message the seller" form on any listing. Your message is relayed with your email as the reply-to, so the conversation continues in your inbox.
- The seller isn't answering. Now what?
- Give it a day — most people check email after work. Still nothing after two or three days? The item probably sold. On we go.
- Is there buyer protection / escrow / shipping?
- No. Stallly is strictly local and in-person by design. Anyone offering you a "Stallly escrow service" is a scammer — see the safety tips.
Account & privacy
- Do I need an account?
- No. A public handle on your ads and a working email address are all it takes.
- What do you do with my email?
- We use it to relay messages about your ad and nothing else. It never appears publicly and we don't send newsletters.
- What cookies does the site use?
- One session cookie (
_stallly_session) that keeps forms working and prevents spam. No analytics or advertising trackers.
